Poseidon - Greek God of the Sea

4 oz Soy Candle
10-14 Hour Average Burn Time

A rich, aquatic cologne that blends sea salt and moss, bourbon accord, musk, amber, and bright citruses together. Black Coral and Moss was chosen to represent the darker aspects of Poseidon’s lore and the murky water churned up by the earthquakes he was said to conjure. Midnight Bourbon represents his hot temper, serving as a catalyst for the quarrels he was known to start. Ocean Mist was chosen to represent the sea spray that sailors would experience while on their journeys across the ocean under his guidance.

Poseidon presides over the seas, storms, earthquakes, and horses and is one of the twelve main Olympian deities alongside his siblings. He was considered to be a guardian of sailors and of many seaside olympian cities and colonies. His hot temper landed him in many quarrels with both his own siblings and with men. Wrecked ships were considered to be taken by Poseidon and earthquakes were said to have been sent by him should someone incur his wrath. He was known for taking what he wanted by force, and is the reason for Medusa and her sisters becoming gorgons.
